Quick Story Line
Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them. The Guardians of the Galaxy have established their headquarters on a rebuilt Knowhere, where they are one night attacked by Adam Warlock, the strongest being created by the Sovereign empress Ayesha. Rocket is seriously injured in this attack, and the Guardians are unable to tend to him due to a kill switch embedded in his chest. They resolve to travel to the Orgosphere, headquarters of Orgocorp, in the hopes of finding an override code. Meanwhile, Rocket’s creator, the High Evolutionary, becomes obsessed with retrieving his subject. At the same time, Ayesha seeks revenge against the Guardians for their previous theft of her property.
